Here's how our standard process works when handling bookkeeping work for your write-up clients. It is the most common and straightforward example of how we work. However, let us know if you require customized procedures and will be glad to accommodate your needs. If you use an online service -- or wish to access through the Metis Remote Desktop -- we'll handle the work that way too. Other options are available also!

Step 1: Receipt of Source Documents from You

Gather the required documents (bank statements, receipts, check stubs, etc.) from your client for the accounting period to be updated. Transfer them along with the latest accounting data file (QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.) and instructions using the method most convenient to you.

• Online - Scan the documents in through a high-speed Fujitsu ScanSnap scanner and upload to our Metis Online Vault. You can also email or send by FTP transfer if you prefer.
  
  
• By Mail - We offer a scanning service at our office in Irving , Texas . Mail the documents to us and we'll scan and upload to our servers and then return the hardcopies to you promptly.
  
  
• By Fax - For small page quantities, you're welcome to fax them to us. Our efax service automatically converts faxes to digital form and delivers the images by email. Though some document types (particularly receipts or colored forms) do not always transmit well this way, fax delivery may be a viable method for you to test our system at the beginning.

Step 2: Handling of the Job by Us

Once we receive your project, the team leader will assign the work to an appropriate bookkeeper. If you have a Metis Online Vault account, you'll be able to track the progress of your work online and interact with our team from within the Metis Online Vault interface. When the work has been completed by the bookkeeper, it is reviewed by the team leader and then checked again by the quality comptroller before being delivered to you.

Step 3: Delivery of the Job to You

As with receipt of your documents, we can return the completed work to you online too. Currently, standard turnaround for small projects is just a couple business days and rush services are also available for quicker deliveries!
